Hospital Elder Life Program (HELP)

The Hospital Elder Life Program (HELP) is a comprehensive program of care for hospitalized older patients, designed to prevent delirium and functional decline. It is an evidence-based, best practice and award winning delirium prevention program. North York General Hospital (NYGH) rolled out the HELP program in July 2016 and it has since expanded to all patients in the Medicine Program. Unique to NYGH, we have also implemented the enhanced Meal Assistance Program and Music Therapy Program, within the HELP framework.
