I actually have this case and it great to work on and easy to clean if you do not let it sit for as long as this one has. The importance of keeping your system clean cannot be overstated. Really enjoy your videos!

That PC looked great after it was cleaned up, I wonder how much of a temp difference there was on the CPU because that cooler was CAKED!

Greg, Just found your channel and loving the content. Been in IT for 25+ years. Spent many years as a bench tech fixing and cleaning computer. My one recommendation is to pick up an air-compressor. Run the systems through a good dusting with that first to get rid of most of the really gross and big stuff. Just remember to do it outside and if you get close to any fans hold the fans down when you get really close to them. Again excellent work.

good choice on the music, i found myself moving along to it without even really meaning to. although towards the middle there was some disonant notes that rubbed me the wrong way, overall it was good and def helped me stick around. Heres a comment for your efforts :)

I use an industrial air compressor and helpful tip when using one.. Hold down the fan blades while blowing off any fans to help keep them from spinning.

This case is CM HAF XB Evo, from late 2013.
This was the "king of dust" back in the day. If this PC hadn't been cleaned for 8 years, you wouldn't be able to see the components 😆. More like 2 years I would say 😁
A fine PC Case with super good Airflow (as its name suggests). And a sturdy case as well.
Wasn't able to decide and bought Phanteks Enthoo Pro instead, back in 2014, when this was around as well :)

loving this series... however, a tip for telling if a fan can be reused after getting re-oiled.. PWM fan header/splitter with it's own power input so you don't need a running system to test fans, for failed bearings... if they've got the "death-wobble" going on, they're not going to last much longer than a week, speaking from experience due to the fact I try to reuse all fans possible, but not easy when you don't know which fan's got the wobble... even the minute amount of wobble, can end with a dead fan.

I have 2 of those Cooler Master cases, though mine have 3.5" drive bays in the back instead of the 2.5". Keep up the great work Greg!

Yep....!!!! you said it Greg, yur content continues to blow me away mate, i am one of your many viewers downunder in Australia, id love to be able to submit my PC for the PCDC series, however i think the postage would be a killer🤪🤪🤪. Ive learnt so much from this series, i've owned my new rig for prob just over a year now, i built it myself, and im so proud of my efforts, considering i dont have a tech savy bone in my body.... but my rig is definitely due for her first DC... i want to thank you again for the ongoing content, i really do enjoy your thanks Greg and keep up the good work....

Was wondering if in the future for shots like the one at 13:55 you could also splice in before shots?
That would really be satisfying to see! I find myself scrubbing to an earlier point in the video to see the difference, but if you added it that would be awesome.

Kind of a neat case really. The cleaning definitely made a huge difference. Hopefully it works for another 8 years.
