I hope Sunday Drive opens everyone’s eyes in this current slow down we are in in the world...I hope it lets everyone see how the moments we share with each other are all that matter and that all we have is this very moment and to make it count...no matter the situation...I hope everyone enjoys the song and if I could ask anything, just let it take you back to that place, don’t be afraid, ride off on that Sunday drive with your hand out the window and feel the air, and the life in your veins, it’s not here forever, but it’s here for now

Two years ago today my husband of 54 years received his cancer diagnosis and died 33 days later. From our teenage years to his illness, we spent many an hour on country drives. Just us, then with the children. So many memories. I have missed those times together more than I ever thought I would. This song touched my heart so deeply. Thank you.

Both of my parents are gone and in a field of stone. The deepest wounds of life don’t even bleed.

I believe that somewhere in the world, there are people who feel the same emotions that I feel when I listen to masterpieces like this song.

I cry every time I watch this. I miss my parents and those "boring" Sunday drives

I miss my mom and dad with every fiber of my being. I smile every time I play this song. I was so blessed to have the parents I had. When I look back on those Glory days I smile.

How does this song not get played on the radio? Might be the best song I’ve heard in years.

Hey Brett, I'm blown away by your courage in recording this song, the honesty and emotion is overwhelming, when i co wrote this i could only ever have dreamt that someone would understand how precious those Sunday drives were for me as a child . Eight girls and three boys and my Mum and Dad upfront, such happy and simple days i allowed myself a little poetic licence with the permission of my two wonderful co-writers to bring my Dad back in the last verse even though he had passed when i was still young but not too young to ever forget those wonderful days and the laughing and the singing and maybe a little arguing on the way back ! when we were all tired, this all happened in a small rural place in Ireland where all my family still live, and my Mother still smiling at 96 . I've been blessed in my career to have a lot of songs i've written and co -written end up on records but this is truly a gift, Thank you :) don

I know most people will not see this comment

But one of my aunts made a video with this song showing all the pictures of my grandma and grandpas history from when they were born up until now, and after seeing that video the song combined with their history was absolutely touching, I spent the rest of that night listening to this song just taking it in how long they have been here and how awesome my grandparents are, Just hearing this song reminds me of that video and It is always sad at the beginning for me but when you think about how long they have lived for and think about the things they have been though, wars, pandemics, economic crisis's, its amazing to think how it must feel making it to 80 years old.

For context this was played and my grandpas 80th birthday.

Even though this isn't completely related to the music, it perfectly fits because they would always take a drive after church on Sunday.

Thank you brett, I absolute loved this song and its such a touching masterpiece

My parents used to take road trips with my brother and I when we were younger, down to North Carolina to see dad's family and Florida to see Mom's. We live in Michigan and I moved up to the upper peninsula four years ago for work. One of the last times they came up to visit, I took them to Lake of the Clouds. My mom desperately wanted to come visit me towards the end of 2019, but I talked her out of it because our snowfall and I didn't want her to get stuck north of the bridge. She and my dad caught COVID 19 in April of 2020. My dad survived, my mom did not. She was only 61 when she passed. This song had me bawling my eyes out by the end.

Out on a Sunday drive. We will always be 25, we will never grow old, we will achieve all our dreams, everyone will love us. Out on a Sunday drive...75, grew old, a dream came true (not the one I thought), and some folks love us dearly, some folks don't. Out on a Sunday drive, my Granddaughter driving, my great-GRANDS holding my hand...Out on a Sunday drive. What a Wonderful World.

This brought tears to my eyes, I am at the point in my life where I am doing the driving, and my parents are elderly, and can do very little to go anywhere now, this is a reminder that I need to go get them and take a Sunday Drive... awesome song and perspective!!

This is a CMA song of the year song. Every time I listen to it I get choked up. This is country music at its best.

It is hard to put into words how much this song means to me. This was my childhood... Sunday Drive with my family. My dad had the ability to find his way without a map. Never knew where we were going, just glad to be with my family. My father has passed and every time I hear this song it makes me cry. So many great memories. Thank You for recording this song. Your voice is like a warm blanket.
