I have been trying to figure this out for THE LONGEST TIME. Normally, I would read articles, and no matter what I did, no matter how closely I followed the instructions, NOTHING WORKED. Thanks!! As of iTunes 12.5.5.5, I only had to do the second part of the directions. So i highlighted my split album (2), went into "get info" and sorted them with the same album title and artist. Worked the first time with no problems or missing songs.

Thank you so much! no info anywhere else about this. Even on the apple site. I had an 8 disc album that for some reason disc number 2 was left out even with the proper disc numbers. And now thanks to you that album is now one. Again thanks so much.
