Realme 7 vs Pro | Side-by-side comparison

Comparing the Realme 7 Pro vs the standard Realme 7 to see which budget-friendly 2020 smartphone is best for your needs. Here I directly test and review the camera results, gaming performance, battery life and specs, to see which affordable phone you should throw your cash at.

Here in the UK, the standard model costs from £179 while the Pro will set you back £279. They are released in October.

These UK models are slightly different to other versions launched globally - so for instance, the Realme 7 Pro boasts a 64MP primary camera, versus the 48MP sensor on the vanilla model. Photo quality is therefore quite different, as you'll see in this comparison test.

That Pro phone also boasts an OLED screen, making it one of the cheapest budget handsets to offer AMOLED tech. That sharp contrast and punchy colour reproduction beats the Realme 7's IPS display hands down - although you only get a 90Hz refresh rate on the cheaper device.

Thankfully these cut-price smartphones are level pegging when it comes to gaming chops and battery performance. You can play PubG Mobile and Call of Duty on high detail settings on the Realme 7 and Pro, no worries. The Mediatek Helio G95 almost completely keeps up with that Snapdragon 720G for gaming. As for battery life, you'll get two days of casual use or a full day and a bit of intense use per charge.

I have Realme 7 and I'm disappointed that it doesn't play full screen on YouTube. You have to zoom to view it on full screen which affect the aspect ratio. He showed it at 7:30

Most wanted comparison in 2020 !!! Some videos show that battery life on Realme 7 is much worse than on 7 Pro ( I don't know what is killing battery on Relme 7 faster than on 7 Pro ), but GSMArena show that Relme 7 actually have away better battery life !!! If you ask me, I would have Realme 7 because of bigger screen !!!! To be honest I cant see anything negative about the Realme 7. What are the experiences with the software? Is the OS intruding like MIUI? How about updates? Those are the only things keeping me from being more interested into the 200€ Realme 7. It looks great overall

Been using Realmi XT with SD712 chip 128gb storage and 8gb Ram .. never ever had any lags or problems ..
Happy that I discovered this brand best you could get for 220€ 8 months ago...

Realme 7 pro is brilliant..I had a Samsung A51 wasn't happy with it after started to slightly slow down and battery started to drain quicker after 6 half months in use..So switch to Realme this week and I have to say I'm very happy with this device and that dart charger is super..So so fast and cameras are better then my old Samsung Galaxy A51.. The stereo speakers are so good and so is the call audio on WhatsApp and Normal calling, so clear..

Samsung Galaxy m51 is available in the UK, any plans on covering it? I know it's a bit more expensive than usual budget phones you are covering, but 7000mAh, SAmoled, Snap 730G, 6/8GB ram, seems like a decent pickup.
