Honda has made us wait for six long years for the gorgeous all-new Civic. It has decided to rely on the same 1.8-litre i-VTEC petrol as the eighth-gen model and a new 1.6-litre diesel. Furthermore, the petrol is only available with the CVT, while the diesel can only be had with a manual. It’s beautiful, not perfect, but most importantly, is it still desirable? The 2019 Honda Civic will be available in three variants, with the ZX being the top-spec. Prices for the Honda Civic are expected to range from Rs 17 lakh to Rs 23 lakh (ex-showroom).

In terms of features, the Honda Civic comes packed with an all-digital 7-inch instrument cluster, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment display, an electric sunroof, full-LED headlamps, 17-inch machine-finished alloy wheels and leather upholstery. The safety kit includes six airbags, ABS with EBD, vehicle stability management and agile handling assist. Four disc brakes are offered as standard.

The 2019 Honda CIvic will be offered in five body colour - Platinum White Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic, Modern Steel Metallic, Radiant Red Metallic & Golden Brown Metallic.

The CIvic is being offered with a 1.8-litre petrol and a 1.6-litre diesel. The petrol engine makes 141PS of power and 174Nm of torque, while the diesel motor makes 120PS and 300Nm. Notably, the petrol engine will be offered only with a CVT, whereas the diesel will be offered only with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

It's not all new. DO NOT MISLEAD. Really no Indian consumer needs to know that there is 30% localization or why they can't keep costs under control. That is for Honda to figure out and plan especially when they're launching it after 3 years. Yes, this Civic is a 3-year-old car! Why should anyone in India buy a 2016-end car? (Care to tell us what updates the facelift has given it?) The feature list is mighty short given the expected price. The design is looking dated now because we've seen so many lower segment cars adopt this styling at the rear. The interior quality is NOT plush. JUST LOOK AT WHAT TATA IS GIVING THE MARKET. Honda is going the Apple way in India. Getting pricey without any value add. Bringing old stuff and calling it new. Indian customers deserve far more than old junks getting dumped into India. The market will respond and your stupid analysis will show that its a segment problem. Ridiculous. We expect a reviewer to be hard like a journalist would to a politician, instead of explaining "oh but he didn't have the budgets to fix the road".
