Started options trading in October 1990! Good video on mistakes. In addition to Thomas D's comment about not selling options early on, it took me a long time to realize the power of spreads!!!

One of my biggest mistakes, trading options, was when I was rolling a credit spread farther out for what I thought was a net credit.
Sadly, I didn't look over the trade ticket thoroughly before hitting the send button.
I didn't notice that the limit price was for a debit, instead of a credit.
I ended up PAYING $50 per contract as a debit, instead of RECEIVING $50 per contract as a credit.
Lesson learned in the school of experience.

My biggest mistake was the amount of time I waited to get started with trading and options. I really thought I needed to earn my university degree in math first. But I am glad that I earned it as I expect that what I learned will be useful.

Worst Option Trade: Closing the short side of a 0 DTE and letting the long side run on momentum. Went to close the Put, and accidentally doubled the size before a massive move up. Instead of the additional profit, I took my worst daily loss to date.
