Castello Antico Hotel, Gythio, Peloponnese

I’m so happy to find this video of the beautiful Castello Antico! It brought back delightful memories of the trip my husband & I took to the Mani Peninsula. We greatly enjoyed our stay at this then newly-opened resort. The young owner greeted us upon our evening arrival, inviting us to sit by the fireplace with him & drink a bottle of refreshing local white wine from Monemvasia. We discussed the region, his time as a competitive windsurfer, work in Rhodes, & study of architecture. It is so wonderful to see his dream has unfolded & the hotel has flourished despite the pandemic. The trees now beautifully adorn the drive. The comfortable, well-designed & tastefully decorated guest rooms, sparkling pool, outdoor bar, & natural beach make Castello Antico a memorable, special place indeed.
