The Kershaw Ion are great budget throwing knives for beginners and experts alike. As far as knife throwing for beginners, their sharp point makes them very "stickable", which builds confidence. And for those with more knife throwing experience, they are just plain fun to throw.

Hello Bryan and thanks for the video. I started out throwing knives as a kid. After breaking several I ended up buying real throwing knives from a company called True Balance. These throwing knives lasted and never broke. Also I picked up Ralph Thorne's book and video on "No Spin Combat Knife Throwing" highly recommended. You are right; it is loads of fun and you never run out of ammunition.

Great video, I bought a set of Smith and Wesson throwing knives and axes. Just have to set up a wooden target to start throwing them while I am outside by my fire pit.

"it's okay to just have fun". THANK YOU. So many people think they're John Wick and are gonna be in fights with the entire Russian mob when they go buy bread from Walmart. Maybe I'm not worried about that and just want to have some fun in my backyard?

I agree. It's fun. What's your opinion on Gil Hibben throwers? I have 3 and they are ok.

I got # Kershaw 1748 Aethon Throwing Knife Set 3 Knives Sheath Full Tang….. and i tried paracord wrapping the handle, did 1 then a second …noticed the velcro was short on the sheath .so i tried putting just two in wrapped and 1 not and was no way i could get velcro to reach, even with just one wrapped it wasnt gonna make it …annoyed the hell out of me as usually with velcro its way longer than needed ..until i need the extra length 🤬…was hoping this was a “lesson video “ though..

SOG has some good ones, the ones without the cordage handle
Paracord is fine until it gets wet

Thx for the review. Seems like you had some bulllet spin on the no spins. It’s exciting to see everything from Kershaw. Don’t think I like the paracord wrap and definitely don’t like the ring on the end. Cold steel, CRKT, & Fying Steel have incredible throwers fyi. Looks like these are best for rotational throws. Cheers slingers!

Throwin knives are fun. But i like heavy ones with a smooter handle. the kunai style handle dont slide outta ur hand as easily as ud want it to.

Have many of these type knives. Pinky finger throw sticks it every time. What are your thoughts on the impending food famine, new emergence of a battle rifle and cartridge (unnecessary), rumors of farmers being paid to burn their crops months ago, and prep for the B.S. health issues that require all these "different" vaccines. It's ok if you want to stand down on these issues, but inquiring preppers want to know. Almost forgot, an awsome comparison of break barrel air rifle grocery getters. Love what you do man. WWG1WGA

Love Kershaw . Had Many years ago ... Always wanted a nice throwing knife, but Sorry to say, I just can't do The Chinese made anything as long as I can find a quality Made in The U.S.A Product. I own 1 chinese product, a stainless steel walmart camp cup My Deceased Wife bought Me. I'm sure those throwing knives are fine for intended use, I'm just not willing to support China or any Company that does. Love Your videos though...

I broke all 3 of them within 24 hours. They all snapped in the same place. Making a high impact tool out of composite metal is ridiculous. I own a wide variety of knives. The weight and shape is AWESOME. Which sucks given poor material. 2/5

Please dont do this with your dog wandering around the target. Weapons are violent by nature, therefore sacred . Fun - sure. But the violence inherent should never be overlooked.

The ring itself negates this attitude - pointless outside of the presentation of an obstical that only serves to emphasize that "youre throwing a dangerous, wily object that could seriously mame one of your best animal friends if u dont keep an eye on their best intersest.

Honestly though -- why the ring? I dont see much of a reason, and it only unnecessarily complicates the practice as far as i can see.
