Hace unas semanas estuve en una conferencia con profesores de italiano, francés, alemán, inglés, español… ¡y hasta galés! y además de compartir diferentes experiencias, decidimos hacer un video para compartir cómo decimos algunas palabras en diferentes idiomas. 🤩

Es increíble ver cómo una misma palabra puede sonar diferente dependiendo del idioma o la cultura.

En esta ocasión el español de Argentina y el de España tienen la misma palabra, pero no siempre es el caso. Hay muchas variedades y variantes del español, y no solo hay diferencias de pronunciación, también hay diferencias en el vocabulario y coloquialismos. I can't believe that Brazilians and portugese people call 'Janela' for the window. Am from Sri Lanka. In my language, Sinhala we call it 'Janelaya'🇱🇰🇱🇰💯

I love how Brazilian Portuguese is like an autotuned version of European Portuguese.

In Portuguese we call pillow as "almofada", similar Spanish pronounce, "travesseiro" it's like the pillow specifically used in the bed, just for the sleep period, but "almofada" is used in the couch or in the living room.
