The nickname of the mistake is a really great idea! It way easier to learn and remember the strategy by remembering the nickname. 10/10 on this one.

That demo clip against SSJ/CYJ is such a subtle low key flex, I love it!

Hi Greg and Jenny! I've just binge watched your videos for the past 2 hours; I must say that you are both great at sharing advice whilst acknowledging and improving your own mistakes. You guys serve as a great role role model for me and for sure, many others. Love from New Zealand and the Philippines!

the way you demonstrated 'the nervous net player' @5:09 is that greg is deep in the left corner (his forehand side) and jen steps back as he makes a straight shot to mid-court. in mixed doubles, greg would not expect to follow the shuttle to the net here and leave his female partner handling the rear court. but in men's doubles in jen's position i would indeed consider taking a step back here, not because i have not hit the shuttle in a while and am nervous, but because it will be much better for me to attack a reply to the right corner than for my partner to cross the entire width of the court to his backhand corner. of course, greg can do that, but in men's doubles his partner can do it better, and while this is optional in this situation, it becomes obligatory if greg is just a little bit forward of the rear corner. in men's doubles, greg would be aware of this and the smallest movement by his partner backward would be his invitation to follow the shuttle to the net, which he can do very effectively if he knows it's coming

in general, men's doubles favors constant fast and fluid rotation, so any chance you get to follow your shot to the net should be taken without hesitation. if i make that shot greg made from the corner and i have a male partner who is not in my way, my movement toward the net will begin as i am striking the shuttle, and i will be all over that net reply with energy that is coming forward

Communication is also good for positioning, I use to called my partner with a SWITCH to change from back to front court, also a good trick for better level players to get the control of the game.

Thank you for this video. I've been struggling on my position as a doubles player for a long time. Unsure where to be at, whether or not I should move back/stay at net, moving to the center of the front court in hopes to cover both sides & staying only at the center half of my side after a lift. Will definitely refer back to this video before & after every badminton session I had from now on.
