DVI is the stupidest thing ever. I haven’t owned a dvi monitor in years. Everything now runs hdmi. Why they didn’t choose that I have no idea.

It's amazing how many Hams don't know that a DVI video output port can be connected directly to a TV's or monitor's HDMI input port using a suitable 100% passive cable. Such cables contain only point-to-point wiring, and do *not* contain any active conversion circuitry. They're cheap, maybe $10 but YMMV. It's 100% a precise non-issue.

Re pulling signals out of the noise. It's already true that others cannot hear my 100 watts signal (even when I can hear them perfectly), so I'm more in need of a kw than a better receiver. LOL... ;-) !!!

I've had mine for a couple of months now - fab radio and I agree with your comments. Yaesu are trying to bridge the UI gap that others do so well (Kenwood and Elecraft). For a Apple Mac user like me I sill have to gain access to a Windows based computer to complete the Firmware updates (shame - Elecraft mange it) but having both the SD card and a better UI makes it much easier that my previous FTdx3000. You show CW decode not working. I have watched other videos showing CW decode not working. One went to great lengths messing with all the settings. You say it actually works. Can you show it working?

I have been out of the hobby for a long time, probably 20 years. At the time I had box that would decode CW built by AEA. It is still in a dark corner of my attic. I don't recall having to do any setup of it and it just displayed the code. Not perfectly but good enough to capture what I missed. My call sign is AA6EX.

Top missing feature is not being able to switch CW BK-IN with the VOX button. You can't even assign it to the function knob.

My favorite feature is the dual tuning knob/ring. Outer ring course tune, inner knob fine tune. Very convenient to use. My only dislike with this radio is when you want to decode cw, it times out very fast. Seems like a 1 second timeout so you have to be fast. Would love to see that fixed with a firmware update.

why radio transmitter In the room of radio players around the world, even if only icom, Kenwood, Yaesu, I don't see any of the United States, Europe, China, Korea. Japan should have won in World War II. It's just a communication tool nowadays. Excellent quality items only available from Japan.

I think the dx10 is one off the best all-round radio that yeasu have made for the price..just a good radio

Yaesu does make the most sexy radios in my opinion. I wish it was in the budget.

I wonder if Yaesu will ever introduce a portable, low power competitor to the IC-705 with the FTDX-10 being the bigger brother, as is the IC-7300 to the smaller IC-705? I do like the FTDX-10's CW and other features.

Man I want one of these. Running a 991 now, and really like it, but this 10 is another level. Amazing rig.
Run the RX audio through a Heil PRAS, which has been extremely helpful in tough conditions

I would miss the ext. monitor or Pc keyboard connectivity swap for QSK, ext. RX antenna, etc.
No ext. RX antenna port, no separate 6m antenna socket, no PIN diode T/R switching (yes in 21st century still used relay) just sewing machine sound on CW, annoying menu…no chance to join my setup!

Presently i am saving up for one of these fine radios. Too bad the amateur radio stores cannot take in "previously used" radios for a trade in. I have a Yaesu FT 847, a FT 857 and a FT 897 i would gladly trade in for one of these beautiful radios.

Any suggestions??? I added an external monitor to mine and get a lot of QRM from the monitor. When i turn off the monitor or disconnect the HDMI from the monitor, the noise goes away. I've tried using ferrite on the HDMI and have had some success. My HDMI cable is triple insulated.
