I always felt the whole part of Linus talking about the story of Christ was supposed to empower kids, not only in public speaking and leadership, but also expressing their faith.

The voices of the children brought Peanuts to life. I was just saying to family on Thanksgiving how much Linus’s “real meaning of Christmas” soliloquy is one of the reasons I loved this wonderful presentation. RIP, Mr. Schulz.

I am 58, and I've been watching this beautiful classic for 58 years, starting on my mother's knee. In fact, we are watching it on DVD at this exact minute. My mom, now 78, lives with me, and here we are, still watching it together again. One exception, I'm not on her knee! Lol!
