I'm still confused about annuals. I understand they die after one year (on completing their cycle), but they also SEED in flower. So why do they not replace themselves, without the need to re-buy?

When you speak about biannual plants, do you mean biennial? Are the terms interchangeable?

The big thing is the seeds. Although annuals don't resurrect as the same plant, their seeds can suvive. I get this with cherry tomatoes, not to mention weed seeds like crabgrass sprouting year after year

Do the biennials and perennials have to be watered throughout the winter or do they just sprout in the summer/spring whenever they're ready? Or can you start watering them during summer/spring time?

That stuff has always confused me Luke, thanks so much for the no frills explanation. I hate it when the speakers or writers get all long and involved in the explanation, it just further confuses me, lol. Of course, these days at my age, doesn't take much to do that anymore, :)

I like the way you can explained that anything that grows from a bulb dies back to a bulb a comes back again. The visual helps.
