As I understand it, the head of the metatarsal is convex and the base of the proximal phalanx is concave, thus you would mobilize in the same direction of the limitation not the opposite as you described. A dorsal glide would be for great toe extension and a volar glide for great toe flexion.

When will it be possible to regrow the cartridge in the main toe joint, by injecting stem cells??

My second toes are longer than my great toes. (Im Irish!) I tend to develop extreme soreness between and behind these toes. This is because the second toe tends to bear the burden of the break over. So, when this gets uncomfortable. I simply tape the great and second toes together and relief is almost immediate.

I always found her to crack the toe, but by holding it like you showed, I could just hear/feel it crack and it felt much better
