No one talks about it but the sound design to make his arm pulling back reminds me of a catapult being armed and it sounds so satisfying when he hits the ball

Asahi is extremely underrated, he is the one who score most of the point for Karasuno every game, not Tanaka or Hinata. He isn't showed much doing it but he is not an Ace for nothing. Asahi get the end of the stick in order to make Tanaka more relevant as a spiker at Karasuno and also in order to make the other aces a bit more threatening.

azumane and blockers were very close to the net when he spiked the ball that hard...its a miracle the blocker didnt break their fingers because azumane was targeting their fingers for this spike

Asahi is a freaking strong, i think the one that is holding him back is because he is afraid he might get block again like dateko giving him an anxiety before. Thats why he practice the of the block spike to prevent them from blocking full force

If anyone is confused how the blockers fell down first is because he stops his approach letting the blockers jump first I think he perfected this in the final match in the nationals. It's not because of the pose.
