This time Naepolitan Minor Scale!
Each mode lasts 4 bar.
Drums plays always the same 4 bars for each mode.

Just discovered this scale and damn, this one makes harmonic minor look soft in comparison! The mode itself is fantastic, locrian dominant is awesome, and Dorian #1 at the end is...something else. \w/

Everything you post is pure 🔥 but this one really stands out. I had to do vocals to it last year. Will send you what I did

Fun fact: Super Locrian bb3 bb7 is the 2nd darkest scale possible. (Take a Dorian scale and raise the root a half step).

The darkest possible scale is Aeolian #1. It is the 7th mode of the Harmonic Locrian scale.

Man I tried Mixolydian augmented and I just don't like it. This is my 2nd time trying Neapolitan and I just can't get into it. It has a brightness that almost sounds funny yet dark at the same time. But that brightness is what's getting to me. I gotta admit it might sound nice as a transition or a one part thing for a song but I just can't find any good riffs or any orchestrations for it. Especially that Ionian #2 riff there, dude put an organ grinder behind it and a Tuba complimenting that bass. That would sound too funny and would make a good carnival metal riff. I like that Locrian bb3 on your other video though. Sounded dark with a chromatic touch. But I'm not looking at any Locrians right now maybe later. Even though its not my style, cool video and thanks for the demonstration.

Neapolitan's super locrian is even harder to use than regular locrian because there isn't even an octave inverse of major 7th chord to cheese with.
