I can somehow relate to the part He talked about the accident. this is actually a testimony.

i have been under heavy warfare and one time this year, i woke up and first words to come out of my mouth were ‘Jesus my fortress’, i never thought much about it but then during the day i was having some kind of restlessness and the song by Min Theophilus (there is a prophecy over me) kept playing in my spirit. I just proceeded with my day and work as usual. on my way home, a motorbike came straight at me in a strange way. the way i just fell down in a sitting position and the man fell off and the bike fell ahead of me is still mysterious. this was even on a busy road. i just got up with just a scratch on my leg and some minor aches, smiling even and headed home. The aches even disappeared in like two days also. i am still amazed at that incident and i understand how Jesus can be our fortress(fortified defensive structure according to the dictionary). I am still thankful

My Notes: APOSTLE GIDEON ODOMA & APOSTLE AROME OSAYI || APOSTOLIC BOOTCAMP || GRAND FINALE || 15.12.2024

Theme: Living and believing in alignment with God’s truth, avoiding presumption, and dwelling in the secret place of the Most High.
Key Scriptures:
Psalm 19:13-14
Matthew 4:5-7
Psalm 91
Purpose: To expose the principles behind Satan's temptations, emphasise the importance of a life anchored in truth and submission to God, and encourage believers to walk in righteousness.
Main Teachings
1. Living in Alignment with God’s Word
Principle of Living:
Our lives are a script written by God, a story told from Heaven.
Living accurately involves aligning with God’s word and script for our lives.
Misalignment opens the door to Satan’s influence.
Reference: Matthew 4:1-4 – The first temptation focused on “living.”
2. The Principle of Believing
Key Text: Matthew 4:5-7
The second temptation targeted Jesus’ belief system using scripture (Psalm 91:11-12).
Satan quotes scripture to create presumption, misrepresenting the promises of God.
Believing inaccurately leads to living inaccurately.
3. Presumption vs. Faith
Definition of Presumption:
Acting outside God’s will while expecting His faithfulness.
Examples:
Jumping into decisions without seeking God’s counsel.
Relying on promises without fulfilling the conditions attached.
Presumption is equated to “tempting God” and leads to transgression.
Key Prayer: Psalm 19:13-14 – To be kept from presumptuous sins and remain upright.
4. Conditions for God’s Promises (Psalm 91)
Heavily Conditional Promises:
Abiding in the secret place of the Most High is prerequisite to experiencing His protection.
Knowing God as the “Most High” is foundational.
God must occupy the highest place in our lives, above all distractions.
Only then can we experience His shadow (Almighty protection).
Angel Assistance:
Angelic intervention is promised to those who have met God’s conditions (Psalm 91:11-12).
Acting presumptuously forfeits this divine assistance.
5. Identifying Presumption in Today’s Church
False Teachings:
Preachers who create grounds for presumption by misinterpreting scripture.
Satan uses such voices to influence the belief systems of Christians.
Consequences:
Leads to spiritual shipwreck, loss of divine protection, and vulnerability to attacks.
Guard Against Presumption:
Measure teachings against scripture.
Stay aligned with God’s word through study and prayer.
Illustrations and Examples
Memorising Scripture through Song:
Singing scriptures helps internalise God’s word.
Example: Psalm 19:14 as a repeated chorus during the sermon.
Accident Testimonies:
Personal accounts of divine intervention in life-threatening situations due to dwelling in God’s secret place.
Angelic protection during accidents, as seen in the alignment of circumstances to prevent harm.
Story of Presumption:
A wealthy man lost everything due to acting outside God’s will, showcasing the costliness of presumption.
Practical Applications
Evaluate Your Living and Believing:
Are your decisions based on God’s will or personal presumption?
Regularly compare your beliefs with scripture.
Abide in God’s Secret Place:
Cultivate intimacy with God through prayer, worship, and obedience.
Surrender completely, allowing Him to be the “Most High” in every area of life.
Avoid Presumption:
Seek God’s counsel before making decisions.
Fulfil the conditions of God’s promises rather than assuming entitlement.
Guard Against False Teachings:
Be discerning; not every preacher quoting scripture is aligned with God.
Ensure teachings are scripturally sound and lead to faith, not presumption.
My Key Takeaways
Satan often uses scripture to deceive; discernment is vital.
Faith requires alignment with God’s will; presumption is sin.
Dwelling in God’s secret place ensures divine protection and provision.
God’s promises are often conditional; fulfilling these conditions is necessary.
Avoid false teachings by grounding yourself in scripture.
Conclusion
Core Message: To walk righteously and avoid deception, believers must abide in God’s presence, align their lives with His will, and resist presumption.
Encouragement: “The days of the Puritans are here again.” A call to holiness and righteousness in preparation for the coming glory.
Prayer
"Lord, keep us from presumptuous sins. Let the words of our mouths and the meditations of our hearts be acceptable in Your sight. Teach us to dwell in Your secret place, trusting in Your promises, and walking uprightly before You."
