Welcome to our channel! In today's video, we delve into the fascinating world of diabetes research. Diabetes, a group of diseases where the body struggles to produce or utilize insulin effectively, affects millions worldwide. It's a condition with no known cure yet, and it's a significant health concern, especially in the United States. In this video, we explore the potential of stem cell therapy and medication in preventing and treating both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.

The most common treatment involves daily insulin injections or pumps, along with frequent blood sugar testing. However, researchers have been exploring groundbreaking solutions that show promise in managing the disease.

Researchers are making remarkable progress in the field of stem cell therapy, especially for Type 1 diabetes. They're investigating ways to create insulin-producing islets in the pancreas, and some patients have even experienced years without needing insulin injections. Cord blood stem cells have shown promise in clinical trials, improving glucose control and reducing insulin dependence.

I think they need to figure out what hormone or chemical in the body goes off kilter and affects the insulin or sometting. A lot of it goes hand in hand with depression symptoms also.

YALE University is currently doing research on ultrasound to the liver as a way to lower blood glucose. Very innovative treatment in the horizon.
In the meantime, following a ketogenic diet and exercise can reverse diabetes. How do I know? I participated in the research and follow a keto diet. My A1C and BG have dropped along with my triglycerides, blood pressure and cholesterol. That was all there is to it.

All I can say is, I hope so. I’m diabetic and truly sick of it. Eating is one of life’s pleasures, and having to set aside the things you love is nothing short of torture.

I was diagnosed early LADA 7 years ago. Not on insulin, yet, but my immune system is currently killing off my beta cells. I find it interesting that these studies never seem to include any adults who are autoimmune, but still have enough beta cells to not require insulin as long as they carefully restrict their carbs. Why not include some people with LADA and prevent them from ever needing insulin?
