The largest problem with copyright in internet is that the specific rules for internet copyrights have been made in 1998 and haven't been updated since. So they're waaay outdated for modern world. The problem is that the big companies don't want those laws to change because it makes it harder to them to actually abuse the law like they do now and it would mean that they "loose money" that originally didin't even belong to them

Old law shouldn't be blanket applied to everything that have emerged after it, cases that don't fit original law context should be treated with caution. Old laws do need revisioned.
