Έντονες ήταν οι αντιδράσεις πολλών χωρών, για τις εξαγγελίες που πραγματοποίησε ο Τούρκος πρόεδρος Ταγίπ Ερντογάν, κατά την πρόσφατη επίσκεψη του στα κατεχόμενα εδάφη της Κύπρου, όπου και είπε ότι θα ανοίξει ένα μικρό τμήμα των Βαρωσίων, κάτι που είναι ενάντια στα ψηφίσματα του ΣΑ του ΟΗΕ.
Αν και τα περισσότερα ελληνικά μέσα ενημέρωσης αναφέρθηκαν στις αντιδράσεις των ΗΠΑ, του Ισραήλ, κλπ. εμείς θεωρήσαμε ότι θα πρέπει να αναδείξουμε και την αντίδραση της Ρωσικής πλευράς, η οποία δεν έτυχε ευρείας δημοσιότητας αλλά ήταν σαφής και ρητή, καθώς τάχθηκε ξεκάθαρα στο πλευρό της Ελλάδας και της Κύπρου.

The reactions of many countries were strong, for the announcements made by the Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan, during his recent visit to the occupied territories of Cyprus, where he said that a small part of Varosia will be opened, something that is against the resolutions of United Nations Security Council.
Although most of the Greek media reported on the reactions of the USA, Israel, etc., we considered that we should also highlight the reaction of the Russian side, which was not widely publicized but was clear and explicit, as it clearly sided with Greece and Cyprus.

Νομίζω ότι δεν είναι τόσο δυνατή η υποστήριξη της Ρωσίας όπως και της Κίνας σε αντίθεση με της Ινδίας και της Αμερικής καλά για την Αγγλία και Γερμανία δεν συζητάμε αυτά είναι εχθρικά κράτη προς την Ελλάδα και την Κύπρο.
