For someone that has lived for 22 years in the U.S., he still doesn’t speak English.
Not saying he should forget speaking Spanish, what I’m saying is that he should’ve worked on being bilingual.

I’m curious about this issue. I’ve been watching some YouTube’s about undocumented immigrants in New Jersey most saying they’ve been here for 20 - 22 years etc. afraid of outing themselves if they go to Social Security for the paperwork required. If you’ve been here that long why haven’t you applied for citizenship? I know many people who have, it takes time but they get it and are very proud of it. I feel it’s a slap in the face for the people who have done it legally. If undocumented immigrants get a drivers license can they now vote?

Well here we go again. People who are born and raised in this country have to jump through all kinds of hoops to prove who we are and they can't prove anything and they get a drivers license like that. So people who have proved who they are still can't get unemployment. What is wrong with this picture?

Why can't he speak English? Why didn't he start the application process even if it means he has to leave the U.S.

I wonder if visa overstays can also apply.

He doesn't speak English, but since he is Mexican he probably speaks the natives Americans languages.
Remember that he pale and pink skin Euroamericans desenders from the criminals European colonialists, ripoffs 9 Mexican states for to incorporate those into the new born USA.

So what would deter someone from illegally coming to the U. S. when they can can get a licence, a tax funded payment from the government, and not pay taxes? Also this still doesn't fix the root issues of why they left in the first place. smh
