That would've been a great facility. Having that sportscar track would been great too

It's still approved.. the set back was because someone noticed there wasn't going to be a hospital close enough after they demolished an old one.. now they have a new hospital approved to be built.
I live 15 min from where it was supposed to be built

As a diehard Canadian lifelong NASCAR fan, this would be so cool to see. And it would generate a huge audience no doubt

As a Canadian NASCAR fan, it's a shame it never happened. Would have been the 2nd biggest oval track in the country with the only bigger oval would have been Sanair Super Speedway with it's .826 mile triangle. As for location, from where I live, depending on route, speed & traffic it would be roughly the same distance from me to CTMP in Bowmanville (roughly a hour and a half to 2 and a half hour drive)

They could have always used or they should bring back circuit gilles Villeneuve..

Pretty neat Jeff Gordon would invest in this, speaks volumes about his character and his passion for the sport.

As a Canadian I apologize that this track doesn't exist yet

Is there a reason they don’t race Trucks at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park anymore? Heck, the Xfinity and Cup series could race there. It’s a great circuit.

This place died when popularity for NASCAR started to decline. Would have never ever seen a return on investment even with the track being used for club days etc. That track North of Barrie in Oro Station is sorta heading in that direction as well

Canadian Tire Motorsports Park? Come on. That circuit always has some absolute classic finishes to me.

The amount of almosts or bad endings with american sports and canada is alarming

Nascar needs to pull a money move like they did in the 90’s and build 1/2-1.25 mile tracks in states that don’t have em

3/4 mile track would be interesting. Somewhere between a super speedway and a short track

I will never understand why the Cup Series doesnt have a race in Canada, be it on this track, an existing short track or a road course. Just feels like a missed opportunity as many US-american sports (leagues) basically expanded into being north-american sports im general. So why not NASCAR? The demographics are similar between US and Canada and a certain fanbase is already there.

I remember hearing about a track in Canada called Sanier Speedway. What happened to that track?? Did it go bankrupt or something??

I still have my CMS hat as proof I nearly bought into this scam....

It would’ve been cool if this came to fruition
