Let us understand this very well. Her father was Senate Chairman of the Committee on Health. He was in full support of the dismissal of doctors who were striking for better working conditions in Nigeria. He had a chance to use his office to make sure Nigeria had at least three standard renal care centres, but he did not do it.

Isn't it funny how life works?
A man with a family history of kidney problems, by chance, becomes in position of power and is able and opportuned to improve on the Nigerian health care by constructing and equipping A specialist hospital to international standards.
But NO. Greed won't let him focus. All the money he has stolen, what has it done for him, his wife and daughter? It can't buy them what they need the most. Life. Freedom. Good health.
I sympathise with the girl cos she's suffering but I can't forget that there are so ooo many people who have died unnecessarily in Nigerian hospitals because of wicked politicians like Ekweremadu. No power supply. Doctors on strike. Substandard hospitals. Exorbitant hospital bills. The list goes on.
If Nigerian hospitals are any good, they would have done the operation and butchered somebody's son in Nigeria without consequences. Now see where they are.
Can I just use this opportunity to remind people generally that money can't buy the most important things of life.

This is not Nigerian Court where justice denied every time. Your father should have known better, to do it in the right way not elegal way, your father has to coop with it and behave well in the prison and he may be pardon and realised earlier. The punishment of God doesn't use Cain. He had the opportunity to make Nigeria better and even the healthcare sector. He toiled with it. Am glad this happen abroad cos if it was in Nigeria this happens, he would have been set free with 2 sureties and a peanuts amount.

She said her father's family has a history of kidney disease, yet the father was not smart enough to build a world-class hospital in Nigeria to take care of his family's kidney disease. He was in a position to do that for his family disease instead he built 40 houses around the world and had £400m in his bank account according to the UK judge. I don't have any sympathy for her and her parents at all. Nigerian political class is evil and heartless. If she dies she won't be the first to die of sickness. Millions of Nigeria have died because of bad health care in Nigeria because of evil politicians like her father who would rather buy 40 houses around the world than build a hospital for sick people. I thought that after he was humiliated in Germany few years ago by his own people for failing them in the congress for almost 30yrs in the major government position would have changed him to became a better person.

This is the UK, not Africa where corruption personally I think their sentences were on the light side! I am just happy that they didn't get the kidney of the young person involved but his life will never be the same because of them, not being able to go home to his family, having to start a new life without his family and friends... it's so sad....😥

So many have lost their lives unnecessarily because of the poor health infrastructure- many talented people unable to get an education while looters take their children & stolen wealth offshore to acquire accents etc - while the country is looted
This is a landmark case for so many reasons- it signifies what is so wrong with Nigeria while she sits benefitting from money which is not hers
