Being good in a second language isn't a crime and doesn't make you worse in your first language. Being multilingual is actually a talent and takes a lot of hardwork. If she actually commands multiple languages she's actually worth a lot of dollars. She can be hired as an elite translator.. and almost earn better than she's doing now.
