NVIDIA is making the capabilities of RTX Remix Toolkit accessible via REST API, allowing modders to livelink RTX Remix to digital content creation tools such as Blender, modding tools such as Hammer and generative AI apps such as ComfyUI. To demonstrate its power, NVIDIA has integrated RTX Remix with ComfyUI.

Through our REST API integration, you can seamlessly export all game textures captured in RTX Remix to ComfyUI and enhance them in one big batch before automatically bringing them back into the game. There are thousands of AI models with different ways of processing textures accessible by ComfyUI. Modders have many super resolution and PBR models to choose from, unlocking the capability for 8X or more resolution increases, and PBR models that include metallic and height maps. Additionally, ComfyUI enables modders to use text prompts to generate new details in textures, or make grand stylistic departures by changing an entire scene’s look with a single text prompt. We are excited to see what modders can achieve with this powerful new workflow, and all of the unique AI models ComfyUI has to offer.

NVIDIA RTX Remix enables modders to reimagine classic games with full ray tracing, also known as path tracing, and to update models and textures with modern rendering features that work hand in hand with ray-traced effects to deliver the level of graphical fidelity seen in Portal with RTX, our ray-traced reimagining of Valve’s classic game. Modders can build 4K PBR assets by hand or use generative AI to accelerate their workflows. And with a few additional clicks, Remix mods can support NVIDIA DLSS 3.5 with Ray Reconstruction and NVIDIA Reflex, accelerating performance and making gameplay even more responsive.

who even writes those comments, this looks amazing. I mostly play old 10 - 20 year old games and it would be amazing to slightly boost the visuals. The fact that nvidia even cares about old games that they are not gonna make any money on is mindboggling. The GPUs are overpriced, I admit, but with so many software features i can maaaybe get along with the prices. I'm still gonna get probably the midrange rtx 5070 or 4070 if there wont be any cool software feature to get the next gen

for people bashing on it... if youre an actual retro gamer this has the ability to evolve it, imagine playing the first resident evil 's with this mod... cant you imagine the fun and the beauty it would get.... i know, someone would prefer that classic tint to the texture just for the feeling and i get you, but isn't this a bit gimmicky and intriguing??

Wow. I can see this speeding up development process. You just make a rough 3d draft of your environment and let Nvidia fill in the high details saving you tome

To anyone saying this sucks. You now have more options than ever to enjoy older games. Giving you the ability to avoid the modern market and punish those greedy publishers for their ways of monetization and complete lack of innovation. Making the modern market crash is the best thing that can happen for gamers to get good games again, simply because publishers will have to adapt or ceize to exist if they don't innovate and go back to fair monetization (like Baldurs Gate 3 for example). And if there is one thing we all know for sure is that publishers will do anything to get your money, so make them work for it again like they did in the past! Instead of the CEO and board of directors buying their 5th yacht they'll have to reinvest more of the money into making games good again.

This is awesome, nice to see Geforce investing in this, and allowing us to use open source models

I think for newer or more "realistic" looking games this would be amazing, but older & more stylized games it'd be kinda weird ir ugly from mismatched styles
Like if i wanted to use this in my time in Portia, slime rancher, or gta 3 it'd look so weird.
