Doesn't appear to be 3D printed (looking at the glossy surface).
However, the construction looks better than most other's I have seen, that use a servo.

I think you could easily fit a steppermotor in there instead.

Slider crank mechanism. But seems like something wrong

Any reason why the opening procedure is so much slower than the clamping? Seems like it may be to prevent damage but just wondering.
