I love how each one represents how the player will feel while he's knowing the new mobs and changes in the world, being the last ones a very ominus call that the world is screw up and you can't continue with it.

Phase 8 is the sound of a dying, malformed elk, limping across a living jungle.

They did a damn good job with the sound effects.

Fun fact: if you murder everything that can be infected during the day before parasites, you can live on zero-first stage by farming ruptors, which cannot escape because player's sprint is faster.

The worst part about all of this is how the parasite biome spreads based on the location of the player. If the player is north of the biome, then it will spread north, and very little south.
It knows.
Escape is not an option.
Not anymore.

Phase 8 kinda sounds like a distress signal being sent out by a flute or something lmao

This mod makes you feel like your world is slowly dying, like a terminal cancer that distorts the world around you. There's no way to hide from it, there's no way to run from it. All you can do is delay it, but eventually, it will all fall down. Out of all the horror mods i've seen in Minecraft, none have given me such a feeling. It gives you a sense of absolute hopelessness. The phase 3, 5, and 8 jingles set me off the most. 3 signifies the beginning of the end, with it's odd chime that sounds too happy to be scary, but yet it somehow is... It's like a wake up call, that your world's days are counted.
Phase 5 is like the world is screaming in agony, being eaten alive by the parasitic rampage. I've never gotten to this stage in survival, but i've played around in creative, and the creatures are nigh unbeatable. It's a reminder that things are only going to get worse. You will not get a break.
Phase 8 reminds me of a siren, or an alert, stating that the world is in a completely inhospitable state. Your only option now is to evacuate to the nether or end, but even then they can still reach you. The world draws it's final breath, as it dies.

In summary: This mod is terrifying, and i am in love with it.

I remember playing this mod with some friends with galacticraft installed, at that point it was a race before they fully evolved.







Until I saw the dreaded "One" appear in my chat bar while in space...

Truly a terrifying experience if you soak in the reality of what nightmare you just got yourself into.

The Phase 8 jingle sounds like a survivor running from the Ancient Dreadnaut, despite the most powerful gear in the world(either vanilla or other mods), and even weapons carved out of Parasite Flesh, the Dreadnaut and it's Parasite host is unstoppable, in an act of desperation, he blows on a whistle, despite the fact he knows help is not coming, he continues blowing, even though he knows it's over, he continues blowing, as the Dreadnaut and it's army draw nearer.

Phase 1: Usual minecraft cave sound.
Phase 2: Eh....
Phase 3: The beggining of the end.
Phase 4: The wind blows as the parasite evolves...
Phase 5: You may start to panic.
Phase 6: *Panic.*
Phase 7: Yup. We're *FUCKED.*
Phase 8: The church has gave its final breath.
