I own hens, and they go crazy when an egg breaks, even without the yolk. Surprisingly they really dont like store bought eggs, they have a preference for the eggs they lay. Though they hardly actually eat the eggs, I do give them the shells though.

Those of you saying bad idea. Chickens are supposed to eat eggs that have cracked or gotten busted. They are not supposed to break one open. This will not teach them to Crack and eat their own eggs

Ofc they would, they ate all that in the egg, so why wouldn’t they now ? It’s filled with protein and other essential nutrients for growth, this reminded them of their infant hood
