So, my 60 volt e-bike and its battery got stolen a couple weeks back, and the other day the police returned it and the battery. Now, rather than charging up to a maximum of 70.3 volts, the BMS is saying that the battery is only a 48 volt battery. Did the thieves give the police the wrong battery, or is the BMS acting up? Not only did the battery come back out of its wrapper, but when I completely unwrapped the battery I noticed that four cells were removed from one end of it. The thieves may have removed the four missing cells, or the battery may have simply came that way from the factory. Not sure

I have a 3s battery pack .i connected the balance wires.when i try to charge the pack using turnigy accucel i get 'balance wire error' .if i unplug the battery and leave only the balance wire connected on charger i get 'reverse polarity'.my problem here is i do not have reverse the polarity and i tested voltage of each individual pin of the balance wire which gives correct values.somewhere i read that many have that problem using smart chargers.is there anything i can do to solve this? plz i only have 10s Balance lead cables, can i use a 10s cable for a 6s battery ? leave the other pin unused ?

I have 6S2P battery pack, balance wires connected, power wires connected. But iMaxB6Ac won't recognise the balance wires and gives vol connect error. I can see the voltage on each balance wire with voltmeter increasing from 4.1 - 8.2 upto 25.2V. I am frustrated what to do now.

You neglected to mention that some LIPO chargers use a proprietary ballance port that the JST-XH connectors will not plug into. Mating connectors are difficult (read as impossible) for the consumer to obtain.

hi!i want to power a camera gimbal that needs 12V to operate, with 2 18650 cells wired in series and also ad a step-up regulator to make 8.4V-->12V.the problem is how I will charge them. I am waiting for two tiny li-ion pcb charger boards.could you please tell me how to charge them?do i need to balance them?

my cells are the unprotected type in holders that contain the protect circuit. do i wire my balance leads directly to the battery before the bms circuit ?

What is a good source for wires and connectors of all kinds? When I type "Balance Lead Cables/Wires" on ebay I get a lot of other related products but not exactly the wires/connectors I'd need for a battery build.
