He said there wasn't enough life boats but the schedule needed to stay on just as a few others had said. A lot played part in this disaster that could've been really avoided 1 if someone wouldn't stuck the paper in their pocket and gave it saying it was a icebergs ahead miles prior would've been enough time but by then they were too late when they saw it.

Smith was not set to retire, that’s a very famous myth. And he isn’t looking at the lifeboat he is inspecting the side of his vessel. The eerie part is that just 2 days later on April 13th captain Smith would take that same position to inspect damage caused by the iceberg to the starboard side of his ship.

The captain has to be the last one of a ship, I think u get locked up if your not, and he must of knew, there ain’t no way I’m gonna be the last one of this, and the fact it was his last voyage after 40 years, no wonder why he was shell shocked, and she’ll shock is a saying for people who are in war and right outside a blast zone

as a supporter of the theory that captain smith suicided in the steering wheel room at Titanic sinking, the reason i support this idea is that
after Titanic Captain EJ Smith was gonna get retired after 40 years working for seas, he was even really obsessed with ship so he would be like
“If i start it with the ship, i end with the ship” NOTE: This is not what Captain Smith said ( i guess )

I’m sure I read somewhere that Smith asked to come aboard an upside down life boat in the water and other survives denied him as they were worried it would sink the raft having too many people. Apparently he swam off with no argument. Any one else heard this ?
