To add to this, I've built up a Sonni now and am 2 rides in, and am really exited to ride it again as soon as possible. It's an amazing riding experience, there's nothing like blasting around on a bike with sorted geo with 200mm travel, that can be ridden to the shops, commute to the office or ridden down a world cup downhill track on. It rides different to the Voima, its 'Race Supple' - and I mean with a coil, 200mm travel, it feels sharp and stiff, but supple enough to absorb the trail chatter, and absorb the biggest G outs and impacts.

Looks wise, its stunning in person in many ways, whether you like the design or not, and I totally get that not everyone will like the looks. There's no getting away from its different - in every way, the raw aluminium with the CNC tool lines on it, its mirror finish, or the motor housing - all of which polarise people. And that I love, it is a huge talking point. I've learned that I need an extra 30 minutes on rides to talk to people about it as so many people stop to check it out!

Anyway, enough rambling - sometimes is good to be different, bold, an outlier, and I congratulate Pole for trying new things, in an increasingly tough market that full of good (great) bikes, many of which look the same, built in the same factories with the same parts (not a bad thing by any means), but for Pole to go all out and design something fully made in the EU, which is so unapologetically stark and different, with 200mm travel - well done.... 👏

Thank you for coming and visiting our workshop Rob. It was a pleasure to have you over for the day to check out what we have to offer Pole customers in the UK and let you test out Sonni.

the motor looks like a real afterthought on this one.. With this motormount concept they should be able to incorporate all motors with different mounting kits.

I own a 190/190 Vikkela, I love it. This was so interesting and so refreshing to see. Great job Rob on the interview. Wish we in the US had something like that, What a resource for the UK that man is! Everywhere I go ride or race people have no idea what Polè is so I do my best to explain.

Great video again Rob, I watched it from start to finish, it's great to see so much enthusiasm for one brand, Phil is definitely the guy to run things for Pole in UK and the Dh team.... I'd love one of Pole bikes, not sure which one I'd go for 😉 👍

I was with Phil a few days before you Rob, working through my Sonni spec. which i ordered there and then as a result of Phil's infectious enthusiasm, knowledge and patience. Sadly i wont be recieving my order now and the money is gone. Phil couldn't have been more helpful and for that I'm very grateful ... He too has lost so much as a result of todays news. 😢

It looks crazy and even more interesting than the Voima, which allways realy amazed me.
I wonder though what would happen to the motor, if you hit a rock/root with it? It feels like, it could get stuck on any obstacle easily x) But stillt, crazy cool design!

Eh Rob, I love you work/ channel...long time subscriber. Anyways, could you please, please ride and review the new 2024 Norco Range VLT (High-pivot)? 👌👍🤘👊🤘😜.

I'm over in Perth WA and I ordered one 2 months ago, but they won't get to Australia until August. I need to know if they're worth the wait, cause I could get the new 2024 Gas Gas ECC much sooner. Not sure what to do, but your thorough reviews really help with my decision process. Thanks and keep up the excellent quality of content.

would love to see more Real bike shops like this where they have a real engineering approach and mechanics don't just replace parts, which basically everyone can do at home these days after buying the proper tools. they should be the norm, the mechanics that can actually solve problems, make parts when needed. loved it. regarding Pole, I did not like the earlier bikes, but the currant ones are really fantastic piece of engineering, too bad that I see their Customer service is pretty bad and even saw Leo very indifferent reacting to some complaints from people on Facebook on one of you Pole videos posted...I would not buy a bike from a company /CEO with such arrogant self sufficient attitude

great to hear that we now have somewhere in the UK to go and test ride the Pole ebikes, and Phil seems like a very sound bloke. I'm not keen on the 'early Bafang conversion' looks of the Sonni, and surely by having the downtube so high, they've missed an opportunity to get the battery weight as low as possible?

Shipping to Santa Cruz would have taken a while, that's why I went with an ibis oso. No doubt a beauty, I wanted the gold one.
