Thanks. Great review. I was out at ARB this morning looking at this swag and said that I'd think about it. Its certainly well designed, strong stitching and the addition of the window at the feet zone in the new version of this swag must help help air circulation. The mattress was super comfy. I was thinking about a crashpad instead, but now I'll go back out to ARB and get myself the single swag. My husband will sleep inside our caravan and I'll sleep in the swag outside. He even suggested that because I have so much trouble sleeping inside (van or house) that I should think about setting it up in our courtyard and sleeping outside. Good tip on the boots (shoes) in the bag.

Your story about the rain convinced me. I'm going to buy one of the new Series 2 swags. They aren't cheap, but the quality is evident. Buy once, cry once. Very good review. Thank you.

Excellent information. I feel like I’ve had a conversation about swags from someone who’s lived in one. Really helpful. Thanks mate

I've never had or slept in a swag before. I've usually used single man lightweight hiking tents, hoochie tarps, or the full Taj Mahal multi-person tents. A couple of weeks ago a friend gifted me their ARB Skydome Touring Swag, exactly like the one in this video. Earlier this week I finally set it up in the backyard, and yes, it took less than 5 minutes. Very easy and simple design. Anyway, I thought I'd get into the swag to check out the pockets and other internal features. So I'm in there lying down, looking up at the sky and trees, and bugger me, I fell asleep ! I was out cold for at least 15 minutes; geez that mattress is awesome ! Anyway, thanks for the video review. I appreciate the tips and info. I'll be using the swag in anger this coming weekend, camping for 4 days down in the Southern Highlands of NSW, so it will certainly be a good test of it's ability to deal with cold. Cheers.

Hi Geoff, I've noticed you've upgraded to the new Skydome. How does it compare to the one in this video?

Good tip about boots inside swag! You never know what creatures going to enter them or rain. Also good tip about skinny swag = no good for cold places like winter in Victoria or Tasmania! We dont want coffin!

No doubt its a great swag but you can get other swags that are just as good for half the price but if you've got plenty of dosh by all means buy an ARB

Great in-depth review! Was this filmed in the Dryandra Woodland by any chance? :)

Never used a swag, small tent yes. I also think they look so bulky of top of 4WDs but yours looks almost 1/2 the diameter. Might have another look at them.

Let's be honest.. its really a tent.

How much light does it let in compared to a dark green swag? Also I would’ve thought smaller mummy style swags with less air space to heat would keep you warmer 🤔

Let’s be honest, we all know what movies he watches on the laptop. Haha
