Weekly Garden Tour 29 August 2021

Back home after a great visit with my parents! The Foodscape is looking magical, especially with abundant harvests and swallowtails 🐛🦋 We will be busy filming with Joe Lamp’l this week and the garden looks camera ready 👍🌻🍅💚

Interesting to hear your describe the microclimates. I think the south facing part of our yard would also fall into the zone 8 category. You've given me something to think about for future plantings.

Your line is absolutely gorgeous. If I had your ability she create such a lovely place I would do just that. I did try although it doesn't happen. Warren I can't afford your level Plants but if I could I would give it a big good shot! I love watching you every blog that you put out because it is so enjoyable so what you stroll around your garden and look at all the beautiful plants that you have and how you have them structured. I just love it!

Love how Brie's garden pops against the black fences and buildings. What is the stain used on fences? This has probably been answered a million times! Anyone know??

.we have the dreaded.squash borer and nothing really works..ever...

I never get any squash...i am so.sad.

With the record 7 ice storms texas had no gardener ive talked to in the area had the heart to grow...we lost old established trees bushes that never should of even with it..most like me who lost about 2k seedlings inside FROM 2 WEEKS OF THE FREEZE AND NO POWER OR WATER and barely got out with our LIVES...AND ALL KNOW SOME ONE WHO DIED FROM IT..FREEZING TO DEATH!!! OUR LITTLE AREA SHARED WATER..CHECKED IN EACH OTHER..OLD TEXAS HOMES HAVE NO.FIREPLACES !!! OUR HOUSE OF WELL OVER 100 YEARS
.PLANTS DID NOT THRIVE THIS YEAR.. it.was.weird no amount of.care helped..

i got about six tomatoes..maybe five peppers out of about 20 each plants I bought i now suspect it was the nursery variety was duds. I.never buy nursery because i always get a new strange mega bug.or diseases!!!
