ABOUT THE OECD
The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is an international organisation established in 1960 that works collaboratively to build better policies for better lives. Our goal is to shape policies that foster prosperity, equality, opportunity and well-being for all. Together with governments, policy makers, policy shapers, and citizens, we work on establishing evidence-based international standards and finding solutions to a range of social, economic and environmental challenges.

You are not talking about gender equality. You are talking about a matriarchal society that suppress males.

I'm all for gender equality, but this just focuses on women dominating men! How on earth is that creating an equal playing field?

More men In workplace-Non equality.
More women at workplace-equality.
Were is the logic there?

"Better education means more women work"
This makes no logical sense at all.

So gender equality= women benefit. What about men problems

According to this video, having half as many male students as female students in higher education is a good thing

1:02 men and wonmen choosing different career paths.

Yes, because men and woman have different things they like.

low fertility rate was CAUSED by women not staying at home to raise children. sure im all for women going into workplace, but lets not pretend that it does not cause social problems.

1:50 Paygap is a myth. If anything, women get paid more when comparing same amount of work and experience.

2:05 women make 10% boardmembers. there is nothing stopping them from becoming one. they chose not to because women like different challenges.

And yeah, mandatory quota certainly makes things "good". forcing women to do jobs they dont like is the best way to make equality.

2:45 both men and women have exact same legal rights to contribute at work and at home. in fact women have MORE rights due to maternity leave clauses.

It is about men and women being equal, and as long as one of the parties is less represented it is normal to lay your focus on that group.

This feeling (instead of logic) based presentation is a good piece of material, for who still can think critically to laugh at radical feminism ideologies.

1. Their goal is to increase male unemployment:
0:54: "Almost twice as many female students as male in higher education."  (And that's a good start)
2:34: "Education is a good start, but what about employment and entrepreneurship?" (Do they want women to be 66% workforce and 66% small business owners?  How much resource and political leverage do they need to "encourage" women to compete and dominate men in these areas?)

2. Their solution for falling fertility rate is to get more women work full-time:
1:38: "Many countries are facing the double challenge of aging population and falling fertility rate.  The challenge is ensuring that more women work, and those who want to, can go full time."  (So we can have more money right now to support our living standard and let next generation face a worse situation?)

By presenting the rest of the "shocking facts", such as female students choose social science and male students choose engineering in higher education, as "gender inequality" that should be "fixed".  This feminist has demonstrated lack of basic thinking ability and dialogue manipulation techniques we experience all over mainstream media.

"In Norway, it's a mandatory quota to hire at least 40% women boardroom members". This makes absolutely 0 sense. So, we should hire boardroom members not because of competence but because they are women? This is sexism itself and this idea is what's preventing companies from progressing.

so women are dominant in education, and outnumber men at a 2:1 ratio in some countires, and this is being touted as a good thing?! did i miss something? so, 25 years ago men dominated education = bad, now, women dominated = good? How is this 'equality'?
Also, Norway now has a mandatory 40% female board member quota. so... their system for ending discrimination is to... discriminate? Do they also have a 40% quota for coal miners and plumbers? or is it just the high paid, 'status' jobs?

If every extra year of education leads to an average of around 9% in GDP per capita, going to school should be mandatory until 70 years, so every nation in this planet would be rich.

"and would rather not listen because I have a different opinion than you"

I dont expect you to change your mind, just to see where I am coming from then decide for yourself. I try to keep an open mind, I am always ready to change my mind if someone ought to argue points which make it hard to refute.

My point in this case is simply that to me it seems unlikely that in modern times, women are being held back in some way. The so called "inequality" seems to exist simply because of choice.

Reading the comments I am quite shocked that they all go in the same direction, claiming reverse gender discrimination / a biased view of the video.

Yes, the video is titled "Gender Equality" and is mainly about girls. Yes, gender discrimination is not a good thing, no matter in which direction.

No, male discrimination is most of the time not a systematic problem (it might be in specific situations, though - like when it comes to divorce/children).
No, the video should not be about mens problems. This is a very short video which addresses only the main problems with focus on economically relevant questions / statistics. I am not aware of any country where men have systematic disadvantages compared with women. Hence asking the video to be about men seems grotesque.

ffs with equality comes the right to choose, and men and women choose different career paths. How hard is this to understand? Also, how about you talk about men's issues like one time?

Thank you for these stereotypes. It helps a lot. It is both discriminating to women AND to men...
