Thanks @typecraft_dev ! Your passion and style of teaching things is pure gold! Sadly not so many views for the big work you put into these videos, but I hope DHH was leaving you a nice cheque for the effort.

Here in this video, I was wondering why you werent building the image with a sqlite install, as you are using it for the solid trifecta?

It is so good to hear someone use docker like it is the useful tool that it is!
I'm looking forward to seeing you explain how to run the docker image! 😃

Finally a believer!

it's a great explanation... thanks. It would be nice to take it the next step and actually run the app in the image you just created... inspect the logs, run a rails console, edit the files and re-run, all the stuff we do when we're developing... but inside a docker container on our dev machine.

I would like a more in-depth explanation when you have more than 10 third-party APIs where you are going to place it to compile the production image, for example redis, s3, Sengrid, etc. something like ENV['HOST_URL'] I have a lot of environment variables that I pass via heroku but with the docker image it doesn't work for me when I want to build it :(

Great video ! Does someone know if a tutorial exists explaining how to run a new rails 8 app with docker in development ?

Is there a way to recreate a dockerfile in an existing rails 8 application? Something like “rails g dockerfile”

Second video, where you mentioned number 37.
Coincidence? I Don't Think So.😄
