Lego used to always do this with the alt builds on the back of the box, they should bring it back.

There are youtube channels that actually make alternate builds if you buy one or more of a set. For an example of one is bricoleur bricks.

I feel like this makes sense for some themes, but on licensed themes like Star Wars the result would be kind of clunky. Like three times the same parts isn’t going to smoothly translate into a nice vehicle that would rather use larger, more specialized parts to perfect the shaping.
