Over breeding.
I am a Yorkshire man.
Yorkshire terriers were rat and rabbit dogs.
They were much larger just slightly smaller than an average Jack Russel.
They were bred to keep the henhouse clear of vermin and put rabbits on the table.
Breeding has caused this problem.

That poor girl! I would just want to cuddle her and never let go. I'm so glad her momma found you. I know she is still terrified, but at least she is in good hands! She deserves all the kisses & treats she wants!!!

I used to groom a 1lb yorkie, it was the most terrifying experience every time.

Aww nice to see Gracie back. She's the one who had her jaw broken by a previous groomer, so no wonder she's a lil fraidy thing. And she makes Ace look huge! 😂

This made my heard melt with sadness and joy. These tiny decrepit dogs remind me so much of my own boy Joey. He's 19 and down to 8lbs... He's a lot bigger than this Yorkie so he is very skinny now. He has doggie dementia and has fits where he barks and he only walks in circles. He's on seizure meds and liberela a pain blocker once a month shot. He still loves his food and he goes with me to work so I can help him get up when he wants to walk. I love him so much and I've had him since I was 12. I haven't made the decision yet to day goodbye because he hasn't told me yet that he's given up and doesn't want to live. We're just taking it day by day. It's the hardest decision I've ever had to make.

Oh my goodness, my heart. I’m not the biggest fan of dogs, I’m more of a cat person, but this sweet little baby. Watching how terrified she is just breaks my heart and that jaw breaks my heart even more. Tiny breeds like this are so fragile. She has such a sweet little face, I just want to cuddle her! Thank goodness you’re so gentle and kind with her!

Aw, bless that dog. Just cuz they are small, or cute, or weird looking. Doesnt mean they dont get scared or worried, listen to their body language and Listen to Them! Thank you for being so gentle to this beautiful dog ❤❤
