Silver quarters are very tough. I work at a car wash. I finally found a 1964 silver after going through about $3000 worth. Unfortunately, we recycle a lot of our quarters back into the machines. But 1 in 12000 is enough to keep me looking.

I have never found silver quarter out of about $2000 checked, hoever I did find the Wisconsin error one.

Since silver quarters are hard to find in circulation both in Canada and the US, I'm kinda of teetering on the fence if I want to try a box myself. Excellent video Glen, keep at it!

That is why I do dimes far more because quarters are used far more, arcades, laundry matts and so forth. Silver halves now are just as rare as dimes and quarters. Used to find many silver ones a few years back before this new era of silver hoarding that were are currently experiencing due to the high price of silver.

What banks usually carry large amounts of halves? So many do not.

Just went to the the bank and bought a roll of half dollars and to my surprise there was a 1968 40% silver and a 1964 90% silver half dollar in the same roll. Made my day.

i bought $300 in fed rolled quarters a few weeks ago and got 2 silver quarters. But it's all about the volume. I have searched upwards of $4, 000 in coin/week at times.

Bicentennials are not real collectible *now* but people are starting to horde them. So soon they will be more collectible, so worth hanging on to them if you find them. Same goes for the Bicentennial Halves. I like the  "State Hood Quarter Silver Edition Collections" over the regular State Quarters... Really an epic thing to collect/horde/stack...  Hard to find, next to impossible  and can get very costly though...

The best finds I have found with quarters are with people returning coins to coinstars. I got last year 11.70 in FV silver and this year I got 23 bucks in silver quarters. And I happen to get a chuckle from the canada jingle. I live in michigan and I collect canadian more than I do american. I do like the new america the beautiful park quarters they have out but I don't go out of my way to collect them.
