but, I remain with 2 questions:
1. Why the date is treated like qualitative?
2. If we "count distinct" a qualitative column (a dimension), will it become a new metric?

i think there are 4 main column typed

1. boolean flags <- for logic of functions
1. key <- identifieds for an entity
2. dimension <- attributes for an entity
3. measures <- measurement or metrics
4. flags <- for external functions or optimization
