Hey friends across the pond, sorry I did not add metric measurements to this. I always forget to do that. My bad.

I laughed all the way through this. First, the "annoying" daughter, then the cake being eaten, and finally, the wife being a klutz (I can relate really well to that one)> :) Great work as always, Mark!

Great tips. More family cameos, please, minus breaking pendants.
My hubby did the electrical for our kitchen reno. Saved on labour costs however materials are also expensive. The city permit includes 2 visits from inspectors to make sure everything is up to minimum code requirements. Our insurance requires permits for home renos ... in case something happens, it's covered!

I am new to watching your videos, but love what I've seen. I also have a no microwave above the stove policy and do what I can to avoid corner cabinets. I was a kitchen designer before being promoted to full-time stay at home mom, 20+ years ago. I love seeing your family in your videos. It looks like y'all have fun, such a blessing and neat to see.

This is super helpful! I just bought a house built in 1982, gutted the kitchen and there was not a single GFCI outlet in the entire house. I've had so much electrical work done and it is not cheap. 😬

Great video Mark. A definite save for my future kitchen reno. It was great idea to include more of your family. Love family interactions..lol sending this to a friend who's looking to renovate her kitchen next year. Carpenters are hard to come by right now. Thank Mark🙏

Oh my goodness, such a great video! I have to watch it again to get all the information down--I'll take notes. I knew looking at the thumbnail that we were in for a treat. Love your backsplash, it looks really nice. Your cameraman did an excellent job. Amongst all the hilarity, there is really valuable information. Appreciate you Mark!! Thanks for another great video!

Love the video. Gotcha say that one of my fav microwave and kitchen situations was when it was over the range. So functional, and it was a great microwave.

Thank you! Very helpful information. I’m in the process of redesigning my kitchen and I’m trying to use every possible nook and cranny! Your videos are full of very useful information!

Very informative. A little fast paced so I'll watch again. Great information provided and love the inclusion of the family. Our kitchen is still not finished, but we have been working on it little by little in the past couple of months. My fridge is 14 feet from the range. Its been that way for years, so it doesn't bother me. It is about 6' from the sink. The way I see it, the island will provide the landing space between the fridge and the range.

Love your kitchen! I’m in the stressful process of figuring out the best way to situate cabinets for my small kitchen. Can you tell me the type of shakers you’re using for yours? And any tips for a small kitchen would be super helpful- thank you 🙏🏻

Upper and lower angled corner cabinets with multi-tier lazy susans inside work really well, AND if you angle the countertop and place a single door underneath the angle, you don't have to mess with two teensy cabinet doors or those folding ones that cut into the traffic pattern. It beats blocking out usable storage space...
