Hey everybody, Scott here from Camco. And today I’m going to talk about Eaz-Lift’s TR3.

The TR3 is a weight distributing hitch with integrated sway control.
The innovated design not only makes it easy to hook-up, but provides noise-free and fully-adjustable sway control.

The weight distribution feature of the TR3 helps to evenly distribute your trailer’s tongue weight across all four wheels of your tow vehicle. This gives you more control on the road and makes towing easier on your vehicle.

Unlike other sway control weight distribution hitches,

Does the sway part of this really work? I'm having a hard time believing that little brake pad material collar grabs hard enough to tame the sway of even a small'ish 22ft 6000lb tandem axle Minnie, let alone a huge 30ft 8500+lb beast.
How much is "300ftlbs" as it relates to sway? I torque my lug nuts to 120ftlb easily by hand with a typical 1/2" torque wrench.. and my Dewalt DCF891 makes 600ftlb on a fresh battery, so 300 doesn't seem like much of anything.
I'd like to see someone (independent) test the sway on ice or a frozen lake.. it want to see if it goes straight.
Or put the hitch in the receiver and pull sideways on the bar at the clamp spot with a come-along and some kind of industrial fish scale.
Or put the hitch in the receiver sideways and start loading barbell weights onto the bar to see how much it'll hold before it drops to the ground.

I have a dry tongue weight of 955lbs on my travel trailer. My dealer said I needed the 800lb version. I’m not so sure about that. Once the propane tanks are filled and the battery installed it’s gonna be around 1055lbs. Then add in some of the other stuff as well. Wouldn’t the 1000lb version be more appropriate?
