Why Fisherman Laborers Are AWFUL - Albion Online

Ever wanted to know if it's worth building a high tier house and filling it with fisherman laborers in Albion Online? I did some research and it turns out you almost never profit from journals when given to laborers on the current market. You're much better off just selling the journals as the majority of people currently overpay for the journal to level their laborer rather than get a decent return from using the laborer itself. There are a few areas where it is profitable for you to utilize fisherman laborers but the returns compared to just selling the journal aren't worth the time or hassle of having to furnish and build houses at all. This is my analysis of why fisherman laborers are awful and you shouldn't waste your time with them in Albion Online.

Thanks for the nice video. I am into fishing in most of the games I play, that was the first profession I have maxed in WoW and that is the favorite gathering skill of my Albion main as well. I level it only by fishing, no eating fish other than when I need the regen buff. I still not have maxed it in Albion only 96 fishermen and 78 specs. My default outfit is a T7.1 fisherman gathering gear and a T7 Avalonian fishing rod, my biggest investment ever in the game. With this gear and premium, I usually catch 3-4 fish and/or seaweeds per cast, if I eat a pork pie it is more often 4 fish than not. I never sell fish directly anymore, I “zip” my fish and seaweed into fancy fish sauces which are easy to sell on the market. I always ride with 3-4 T7 fishing journals, I can easily fill one sometimes two journals per day. Nowadays, I like to fish in the yellow mists, ride from fishing spot to fishing spot, kill and farm all T5 resource elementals on the way, and move to a new mist when all fish spots are empty. My laborer setup is one T7 house on my main island, two T8 fishermen, two T7 beds, a T7 table, six fishing trophies (T2-T7), and five general trophies (T2-T6), this gives a 142, 5% yield rate on T7 journals. I never sell the full journals, with the 142.5% yield it is worth feeding them to laborers. I keep all T7 rare fish as an investment and zip the rest to fish sauce and sell it on the market. I have never tried it with T8 fishing journals as it is a bit below 100% percent yield with my setup and I am afraid of wasting a precious full T8 journal. I was thinking of raising my personal guild hall to T7 to do fishing on a greater scale, but I would never be able to fill that many journals. So in the end I have stuck with a T6 guild hall, 15 T8 mercenaries, and a 150% yield on T5 mercenary journals. T5 mercenary journals also fill easily in the mists, a little free money. I also carry one T5 trophy journal of each gathering profession with me all the time, and I have T6 houses for all gathering laborers giving 150% yield on T5 trophies. I only gather T5.1+, and T4.2+ resources nodes and all T5 resource elementals, T5 trophy sells are a nice buff to my economy from time to time with a low effort. I spend my daily 10000 focus on farming carrots, and pigs and making raw pork on a two personal islands with 10 farm spots set up. As you can probably guess I built most of my routine based on your videos and ideas sometimes giving it my own twist a bit. Sorry for the long post, this is supposed to be a big thank you for the videos. My next goal is to get 100 fishing, and T8 fishing set, a T8 Avalonian rod and raise my fishing house to T8, replace two general trophies with a T8 fishing trophy and a shark trophy and try T8 fishing journals. Hopefully before new years eve.

I spent around a million silver setting up fisherman laborers and they are completely useless. I lose maybe 20-30k per laborer per day which is abysmal so I haven't bothered. I can use the T5 housing at least for other laborers I suppose.

Bro please do a content. You explore the mist PART BY PART till you reach the amount of crafting materials. And craft all what you get then make a weapon or armor that which is profitable.
I STILL WAITING YOU TO TWITCH TO LIVE WE NEED YOU BRO

I am super new to this laborer stuff in albion so i would really appreciate if someone could give me an advice which laborers are the most worthwhile. From what i have seen maybe tinkerers and blacksmiths? But if i dont fill the journals myself do i even make a profit? Because i dont have premium and so i dont have focus points
