Saint Paisios (2021)| New Series Trailer| English Subtitles

I am fascinated that this new series is coming out in September on Pemptousia TV Channel, and I wanted to spread the word to non-Greek speakers!

This is the trailer for the new series based on the life and works of Saint Paisios of Mount Athos, a well-known Greek Eastern Orthodox Saint., who was canonized on 13 January 2015. He remains very popular in Greece as well as in Russia and the Balkans. Saint Paisios dedicated his life to helping others and is also venerated for his deeply spiritual and ascetic life. Before and after his death, many people claimed that he performed miraculous healings on them, in the name of Jesus Christ. He is considered one of the greatest and most revered elders of the Orthodox Church in the twentieth century.

The TV series will include two seasons and is a Greek-Cypriot production, which will feature a cast of top actors/actresses such as Nikitas Tsakiroglou, Smaragda Smyrnaiou, Christina Pavlidou, Dimitris Drossos and Dimitris Smyrnaiou.

WOW, just the trailer brought on tears. Geron Nektarios mentioned this movie today in one of this video's as a must watch. The trailer alone was powerful, i cannot wait to see it, God Bless.

This is the second film/tv project that I've seen recently made about Orthodox Christianity. 
How do the directors/producers get funding? 
In the UK I would struggle to get any support for a Christian film project. A Muslim, Hindi and most certainly a satanic one - no problem! 
I'm writing one regardless as I am inspired by this and somewhat compelled!
