Wait a minute -- you wanted to put a ledger board into a brick wall, so you made a pair of stop dogs to drive into the brick and hold the board in place? How about securing the board in on one end where you want it, level it and secure the other end? That way you only have holes where they're needed.

Neat handmade items, you needed something so you made it, nothing wrong with that. I do wished on number 5, that you would have shown how it was made, more than what it did.

All of these 'ideas' take more time and resources than actually doing it the straight forward way. Stupid. I think a chunk of wood as a sanding block is a little easier than jigging up a makeshift lathe to make a handle (for the drill sander - which he used a drill to make instead of just using it on the sandpaper)

The fancy straight edge and high tech glue was simply amazing

So he creates a clamping device to fasten a 2x4 into a brick wall... when clamps are removed 2 holes remain... spend 1.5 hours to create clamps ... why not just put a level on 2x4 draw line on the bottom portion and measure out where the holes have 2 go... too much or too difficult?... I am confused...
