Doctor warns of vaginal rejuvenation procedures

CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Vaginal rejuvenation is really a thing. Companies that promote the use of energy-based devices, primarily lasers, for these unapproved procedures have now been read the riot act by the FDA. Doctor Lisa Larkin joins us to talk about the procedure and why women are turning to it and why they should be aware.

This video is several years old. Menopausal women frequently DO need vaginal rejuvenation to reverse the internal tearing and dryness that comes with reduced hormones. Vaginal atrophy is real.

It's so annoying how they don't clearly say they mean laser therapy. The surgical procedure is fine. Just scaring women unnecessarily.

I had it down for the first time today. It does hurt. I’m not anxious to get my other two treatments but I’ve paid for them now. They lie though. It hurts.
