“Shamefully, it's true. It's something I don't like.”

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said he is “ashamed” of some of the kingdom’s “bad laws” during an exclusive interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier that aired on Wednesday. The remarks were made in reference to a retired Saudi Arabian teacher who was sentenced to death over social media activity that was critical of the Kingdom’s leadership.

Mohammad Alghamdi was convicted of several criminal offences by the Specialized Criminal Court which used his tweets, retweets, and YouTube activity as the evidence against him. Human Rights Watch described the death sentence handed to Alghamdi as an escalation of the Saudi government’s crackdown on freedom of expression and peaceful political dissent

MBS is the law in Saudi Arabia, if he wished to pardon this man it would be done.

Of course, he has to be ashamed of being the richest man in the world in the richest country, apologising publicly for not being able to change the constitutions and penalising the public. Obviously, he can hold the wordicts until they change the laws.
