Now, I know what you're thinking...
that we didn't learn our lesson from the previous video "good ol fashioned scorpion."
The truth is, this is a foam block floor (not spring), these step ups are lower/wider/more stable, and we did a ton of tests. He also landed 4 of these before this take.

Ryan Ford ruins this flip routine in this clip that was taken from the making of a promotional gym video for ADDAB (l'Art Du Deplacement A Bordeaux) which you can learn more about these very talented and cool people here: www.ADDAB.fr

Let this be a learning lesson to all those who train on foam block/spring floors with equipment!

And actually, Ryan just told me that he's always prevented this from happening in the past by docking a mat against the landing side so that the obstacle can't fully tip over.

Flips are an effective tactic employed by both males and females of the species Homo Sapiens during mating dance rituals. Scientists believe that flips of various types and difficulties are used in attempt to demonstrate strength and agility, traits often desired by the opposite sex. The higher, faster, or more revolutions a flip achieves, the more desirous it appears. Flips that shift axis also help the individual appear more desirous to their possible mate.

Hi, could you please explain the usefulness of flips? I know rolls are useful because they can save your life, but what do flips do?
Thank you~

But that's a biological point of view, I was asking about its usefulness in parkour. I watched some videos showing people used flips to restore balance when they were in the air, so I guess I've found the answer. Thanks, anyway.
