Alternative rock muscle, Cage the Elephant performed a very special live show at JBTV studios and included their latest hit single "Cigarette Daydreams" from most recent album, Melophobia [RCA Records]. Allegedly, this was the fastest written song on the album because when frontman Matt Shultz called his producer about it, he was told to finish writing the song before he did anything else which led to the song's writing being finished soon after that phone call.
Cage The Elephant formed in 2006 in Bowling Green, Kentucky and the quintet found mainstream success in 2009 following the release of their Debut self-titled album the year prior. The single that was most responsible for this was "Ain't No Rest For the Wicked", a song that earned them an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman and could be heard in the hit video game Borderlands. Later that year, they played at Chicago's Lollapalooza and at San Francisco's Outside Lands.
