Increase Your Ranked-Level! (Ghost-Sharking) | [Splatoon 2]

At first, I was hesitant to share this because it's got some of my creativeness that I don't want people claiming (and I don't mean the game itself).

Note: The music added into this video is actually created by me. Please do not distribute anywhere without permission. The game sounds recurring in the background will point out that the music came from this video.

This is a video of me playing tower control in Splatoon 2 where I demonstrate what I call "Ghost-Sharking." Ghost-sharking is a strategy that many players probably do, but I thought of it on my own after testing ability combinations. Performing this involves a close-range, rapid-fire weapon, ninja-squid, and a lot of swim-speed power-ups. As of this now, I haven't tested Ghost-Sharking in every game-mode. However, I noticed that it really helped me win Turf Wars and quickly increased my level in Clam Blitz. I imagine that it can benefit you in any game-mode, but it may depend on certain variables like your level of skill or the situation at hand:

Ghost-Sharking involves constantly moving around the map. Constant mobility can be used to either: Claim as much turf as possible or target enemy players. You can quickly maneuver through the map to quickly claim as much area as you can with your main weapon before moving on as if you were never there. Or you can do what I call "Spear Fishing," meaning that you move around the map mainly in search of enemy inklings and octolings.

My Perspective:
Personally, I often use the regular Sploosh-O-Matic because the sub and special-weapons enhance the effectiveness of this strategy in my opinion. But you can select whatever weapon you prefer. I often charge straight toward the middle of the map (or the ranked-battle objective) as soon as the match begins. You must be careful of powerful weapons like rollers or chargers that can easily find you right away. Given that there is barely any ink on the ground yet, I stick out like a sore thumb (especially to enemy players who got annoyed with me). Ghost-Sharking or Sharking heavily depend on utilizing friendly ink already on the ground, so you can move without needing to use any of your weapons. I really don't have much a pattern when using these strategies, making me more like a "shark in the water."

As you can imagine, Sharking is essentially the same strategy, except it doesn't involve ninja-squid. You can replace it with any main ability you want.

Of course, Ghost-Sharking and Sharking have their weaknesses. Ink armor defeats the purpose of ghost-sharking and collecting claims gives your position away to chargers. While sharking, although you can move even faster without ninja-squid, you pretty much forgo the idea of stealth. You can try to get in and out of situation if you're fast enough, but speaking from experience, that's never easy.

I hope this helps you win more battles. Of course, feel free to spruce up these strategies some more to see how they can benefit you.

About This Channel:
Das Haus literally means ""the house"" in German. That is why I am just called Haus (if I need to differentiate from das Haus, I use the masculine article: der). I've always watched gameplay/commentary videos and here I am now creating my own. Depending on the game, I may or may not be good at it. Either way, your boi commentates with an occasional Haus Meme [inside joke between the followers and I] mentioned (or maybe even created in the spur of the moment).
